Overview

Slug Stats ("we", "our", "the app") is a softball and baseball at-bat tracking application available on the web and as a native iOS and Android app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect.

Data We Collect

All data collected is linked to your user identity via your account. We collect the following:

• Email address: Used for account authentication and login
• Name: Player display name shown on your profile and team rosters
• Player profile: Jersey number, position, batting/throwing preference
• Gameplay content: At-bat outcomes, hit locations on the field, RBIs, trajectory
• Game data: Opponent names, dates, field/park locations (not physical addresses), scores
• Team data: Team names, memberships, and invite codes for shared teams
• User ID: An internal account identifier used to associate your data

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for app functionality — tracking your at-bats, computing statistics, displaying spray charts, and enabling shared team features. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, tracking, or marketing purposes. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data in any way.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties. The only data visible to other users is within shared teams you voluntarily join — team members can see your name, at-bats, and stats for games played under that team.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on our servers. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard encryption (bcrypt). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage.

Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We do not access any other Google data.
• Expo (React Native): The native app is built with Expo. Expo may collect basic crash and performance diagnostics. No personal data is shared with Expo.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete individual games, at-bats, and seasons at any time within the app. To permanently delete your entire account and all associated data, go to your Profile page and tap "Delete Account." Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. For assistance, contact us at the email below.

Guest Accounts

You may use Slug Stats without creating an account. Guest accounts store data on our servers using a generated identifier. No email or name is collected until you choose to upgrade to a full account. Guest data is subject to the same deletion policies.

Children's Privacy

Slug Stats is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
